Air Transat will offer twice as many flights from Gatwick to Toronto next summer, and it will increase flights from Gatwick to Montreal from three to five times a week.
The twice daily service to Toronto and flights to Montreal will be operated by its new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
Air Transat is also increasing capacity on its routes from Glasgow to Toronto, where it is phasing out the Airbus A310 and replacing it with an all-A330 service from Glasgow five times weekly.
The airline will also continue to offer an all-A330 five times weekly service from Manchester to Toronto. For summer 2020, Air Transat will offer over 30 direct flights every week from the UK and Ireland to destinations across Canada.
Air Transat’s 199-seat Airbus A321neo LR offers a choice of Club Class and Economy, and consumes over 15% less fuel, generates 50% less noise in the cabin and communities, produces about 5,000 fewer tonnes of CO2 a year and lowers NOX emissions by 50% when compared to previous generation Airbus aircraft, said Air Transat.
