AirAsia.com has teamed up with Turkish Airlines to offer customers through ticketing long haul options across Asia and beyond.
Customers booking on Airasia.com will be able to combine Turkish Airlines’ flight inventory with AirAsia flights on single itineraries, using virtual interlining technology.
AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes said the partnership will help position the airline for a rebound in global travel next year.
The two companies will cross-market destinations with AirAsia aiming to ‘promote the best that Turkey and the wider European market have to offer.’
Turkish Airlines’ destination map is the world’s largest based on the number of countries it serves.
“We will continue to collaborate creatively with other industry players to stimulate travel demand and complete our product offering as the one-stop platform,” Fernandes said.
AirAsia reckons the partnership will generate a significant synergy between the two companies, and complement AirAsia.com’s portfolio of travel and lifestyle products.
