AnadoluJet, the low-cost brand of Turkish Airlines, launches daily flights to London Stansted and other international routes from March.
The airline has only flown domestically since being launched in 2008 but from the end of March it will extend its network to 26 international destinations from Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport.
The expansion includes flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Milan, Munich, Stuttgart, Paris, Rome, Vienna, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait and Tel Aviv.
The non-stop Stansted flights will operate fon March 29 on Boeing 737 aircraft.
Nick Sime, head of aviation account management at Stansted Airport Authority, said: “We are delighted that AnadoluJet is launching flights to Istanbul from London Stansted Airport this spring. Flights between London Stansted and Turkey have always been extremely popular and this will provide our passengers with even more choice. I have no doubt that this new link will be an attractive option for both business and leisure passengers.”
Lead-in prices have not yet been confirmed.
