All aboard the 840 Coastliner! This bus route has been voted ‘Britain’s Most Scenic Bus Route’, pipping the Glasgow to Glencoe via Loch Lomond route to the post. You can board the 840 Coastliner just steps from The White Swan Inn, located in the historic market town of Pickering, North Yorkshire. This 16th-century coaching inn is the perfect base for exploring all that North Yorkshire has to offer and provides a traditional Yorkshire welcome to all guests.

The entire route is approximately three hours long and takes in the historic city of York, the market town of Pickering, (home of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway), Goathland Village, (where the ITV television programme, Heartbeat was filmed), before travelling through the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors, ending in the fishing town of Whitby. It is the perfect way to explore North Yorkshire.
