The entire route is approximately three hours long and takes in the historic city of York, the market town of Pickering, (home of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway), Goathland Village, (where the ITV television programme, Heartbeat was filmed), before travelling through the spectacular scenery of the North Yorkshire Moors, ending in the fishing town of Whitby. It is the perfect way to explore North Yorkshire.
