Multi-million-dollar rebranding features the first Courtyard by Marriott resort-styled property in the Caribbean and Latin America and the second Courtyard by Marriott Resort in the world
(Oranjestad, Aruba) – Marriott International announces the opening of Courtyard by Marriott Aruba Resort, the sixth property on the “One Happy Island”. The resort is set in the heart of Palm Beach and just steps away from the sugar-white sands and clear turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, as well as a few miles away from several landmarks and attractions.
Following a $45 million investment by development firm Alaimo Group, the newly renovated and rebranded property reveals a refreshing transformation, introducing stylish accommodations that blend modern comfort with inspiring exquisiteness.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this groundbreaking endeavor,” said the newly appointed General Manager Vicky Pérez. “The first Courtyard by Marriott resort-styled property in the Caribbean and Latin American brings to life the brand’s new design vision and provides an accommodation option that complements the experience to be found in Aruba.”
The 148-guest rooms are centered around an oasis of tropical gardens and pools, two saltwater pools grace the courtyard area, and a swim-up bar is also featured. Families traveling with children can take advantage of the new dynamic and engaging Kid’s Club, located adjacent to the pool area. Anchoring the pool and garden space is the Allegra Bistro, which offers upscale casual fare.
Highlights of the resort’s meeting facilities include a total of 1,001-square-foot of event space plus an outdoor terrace. The hotel is pet-friendly and features a state-of-the-art fitness center with top-of-the-line equipment, and a newly renovated Spa.
The new resort is operated by Trust Hospitality, a top boutique and resort hotel management company, based in Miami, FL.
