Carnival Cruise Line has extended cancellations of its scheduled sailings through May 11, 2020.
Carnival had originally suspended all operations until April.
“As covid-19 continues to impact global health and commerce, we are sorry to extend our pause in our operations until May 11. If you have an impacted sailing, you will receive an email direct from Carnival or your travel advisor,” the line said.
The closure of its offices has impacted its ability to deal with customer inquiries and is advising customers to make use of the online form.
“We apologize for this inconvenience because we know how much time and effort you put into planning the perfect cruise vacation.”
“This decision also has implications for the thousands of our crew members who remain on our ships, and just like they have always taken care of our guests, we are working diligently to continue to take care of them and get them home where possible,” Carnival added.
MSC Cruises is also suspending all cruise departures through May 29 while Disney Cruise Line plans to resume sailings in late-April.
