AEGEAN is launching three brand new routes between the UK and the Greek islands of Corfu, Crete and Santorini next summer.
The new routes will be operated from May to October from London Gatwick and will include up to one flight a day to Corfu, up to five flights a week to Heraklion and two flights a week to Santorini.
The airline said it was offering more direct flights to the Greek islands since it had noticed that during the pandemic travel habits changed and visitors were less inclined to island-hop, a trend which it expects to continue while coronavirus is still present.
The airline said it will have 17 to 20 aircraft operating direct flights from seven regional bases next summer, when it will offer a total of 65 international routes.
It will also offer 50 charter routes.
