In partnership with Allianz Travel, Japan Airlines (JAL) is offering its customers free Covid insurance cover for international journeys.
Available for travel from 23 December 2020 to the end of June 2021, passengers will be automatically covered for up to 31 days starting from the day of outbound travel.
It covers up to €150,000 in medical costs for Covid-19 including the testing fee and any medical treatment required, as well as isolation costs and repatriation.
“As international flights gradually return to service, the JAL Group has implemented key measures against Covid-19 to provide customers a safe and secure travel experience,” said Hideo Ninomiya, JAL’s Managing Executive Officer of Passenger Sales.
“While it may take time to welcome back customers on a global scale, we hope this coverage with Allianz Travel will provide reassurance to those that need to travel today.”
A 24-hour support helpline is available in English and Japanese to assist customers.
The JAL Covid-19 Cover policy is a part of the JAL FlySafe Program.
