Marriott adding all-inclusives in Jamaica, Curacao
Marriott is expanding further into the all-inclusive segment with two new Caribbean beachfront resorts.
The company signed a deal with developer Amaterra Group for the Marriott Hotel Al Amaterra in Jamaica and the Autograph Collection in CuraƧao.
Construction will begin on the new builds next year.
Marriott Hotel Al Amaterra will have 800 rooms within the Amaterra Resort mixed-use development near Trelawney, Jamaica.
It will also open a 283-room, all-inclusive Autograph Collection resort in the Pietermaai district of the Curacao capital Willemstad, which is the first franchised all-inclusive resort.
“It ‘underscores the tremendous momentum for our all-inclusive platform,” Marriott said.
Marriott made a move into the all-inclusive market earlier this summer and has contracts secured for seven all-inclusive resorts across four countries.
These include four resorts in Mexico under the Ritz-Carlton, Autograph Collection, Westin Hotels and Marriott brands.
It also recently acquired Elegant Hotels, which owns and operates seven hotels in Barbados.
