Buoyed by a ‘strong opening weekend,’ MGM Resorts International plans to reopen more properties on the Las Vegas Strip.
It plans to open the Aria, Luxor, Mandalay Bay and Four Seasons in the coming weeks.
MGM will open Luxor and the Shoppes at Mandalay Bay Place on June 25, followed by the Aria hotel and then Mandalay Bay and Four Seasons Las Vegas hotels on July 1.
“It was exciting and emotional to see the energy in Las Vegas last week as we welcomed back our employees and reopened our doors to guests for the first time in months,” MGM acting CEO Bill Hornbuckle said.
It was a very different Las Vegas Strip that opened at the weekend with a host of new health and social distancing rules in effect.
It includes disinfected dice, temperature checks on arrival, hand sanitizer stations, face masks, and much reduced numbers of players at tables.
The Excalibur Hotel & Casino opens on Thursday.
“Our guests are thrilled to be back in the city they love,” Hornbuckle added.
