The long wished for travel bubble linking New Zealand and the Cook Islands will finally take off on 17 May. To support the quarantine-free travel, New Zealand will fund the rollout of vaccinations for about 15,000 adult Cook Islanders starting this month.
However, it won’t be available for Australians looking to transit New Zealand en route to the Cool Islands. The bubble arrangement is only between NZ and the Cook Islands. That means Aussies would have to spend 14 days in New Zealand beforehand.
