Oyo Hotels has officially landed in Thailand.
It made its official market entry with 250 hotels comprising 8,000 rooms in more than a dozen destinations including Bangkok, Phuket and Hua Hin.
Oyo has been quietly building its portfolio of budget hotels over the past few months.
The company has big hopes for Thailand, which is among Southeast Asia’s largest tourism markets.
Mandar Vaidya, CEO, South East Asia & Middle East at OYO says Thailand will play a leading role in meeting Oyo’s target of having two million rooms under management across Southeast Asia by 2025.
Oyo is present across the ASEAN region in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
“We are bullish about growing our footprint in this beautiful country. Despite coming to Thailand only a few months ago, we have 8,000 rooms in 13 cities. We see strong demand in the middle to upper-end properties in the tourism market,” said Ashutosh Singh, Country Head, OYO Thailand.
