Royal Caribbean International is getting into the beach club business with a new concept coming to Antigua in 2021.
It inked a memorandum of understanding with the government of Antigua and Barbuda to launch the first Royal Beach Club in Antigua on a beachfront site near Fort James.
The concept will be different from the Perfect Day private island experience.
“The Royal Beach Club Collection is an adventure we cannot wait to reveal to our guests. We are designing an experience that will bring more visitors and will create significant economic benefits and opportunities for local employment for years to come,” said Michael Bayley, President and CEO, Royal Caribbean International.
Few specifics have been revealed but it will feature ‘local food and music, family activities and custom attractions to give everyone plenty of options on how to spend their day by the ocean.’
It will likely include wave runners, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and pool with swim-up bar, the line said.
