Royal Caribbean to homeport in Bermuda
Royal Caribbean will place a second cruise ship targeting American guests beyond the scrutiny of the CDC.
Vision of the Seas will offer seven-night cruises out of Bermuda starting late June through August 2021.
It is the second ship to be homeported in the region beyond US waters after announcing a season of cruses from Nassau.
The itinerary includes a full day at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
It will be available for adults who have been vaccinated and children with a negative Covid-19 test.
This is another step in our safe and measured return to sailing beginning in June,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International.
Guests must meet the travel requirements of Bermuda before embarking on the cruise, which includes a negative PCR test result before travel and additional testing upon arrival into the country.
“Bermuda has safely and responsibly managed the reopening of its tourism economy by air, and we will meet the challenge of doing the same for the cruise industry,” said Bermuda Premier David Burt.
