St. Martin is to get its first AMResorts property.
The company has inked a resort management agreement to launch a Secrets Resort, which will take shape after rebranding the 350-room Riu Palace St. Martin in Anse Marcel.
The property will have a $20-million renovation before re-opening in 2019 as Secrets.
The hotel is owned by Apple Leisure Group partner Sole Resorts.
“This partnership with Sole Resorts demonstrates ALG’s ability to successfully convert existing resorts into one of our award-winning brands and deliver an attractive return on investment for owners,” said Javier Coll, executive vice president of ALG.
AMResorts operates the Secrets brand in Jamaica, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Mexico.
We are confident that the island has the potential to become one of the region’s premier high-end destinations, making it the perfect location for our luxury all-inclusive brand, Secrets Resorts & Spas,” added Apple Leisure Group CEO Alex Zozaya.
