Shanghai Disneland plans to increased park visitor capacity to 50%.
It currently permits only 30%.
It follows new guidance issued from China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, allowing a phased increase in visitor numbers at tourism attractions.
“As a result of this policy change, and as overall market conditions continue to rebound, Shanghai Disney Resort is increasing the daily capacity of the resort’s theme park,” a notice on its website said.
It takes effect from 24 August.
All tickets must still be booked online in advance but there will be ‘more flexibility’ especially for annual pass holders.
Shanghai Disneyland officially reopened to the public on 11 May with strict health and safety measures including rigid social distancing rules.
