InterContinental Hotels Group is bringing its Staybridge Suites brand to Asia.
The brand will debut in Thailand with two hotels opening in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
The two new hotels were unveiled after IHG sealed a deal with Nomura Real Estate Development Company Limited for Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor and Staybridge Suites Chonburi Siracha.
There are about 250 Staybridge Suites open worldwide and the brand targets the extended stay market with residential style suites featuring fully-equipped kitchens and separate working space.
“With the rising demand for long-stay accommodation in Bangkok and Siracha, this represents an excellent opportunity for us to introduce Staybridge Suites. Longer term, we are excited about the potential to expand the brand further across Asia Pacific,” said Rajit Sukumaran, chief development officer, Asia Middle East and Africa at IHG.
Staybridge Suites Bangkok Thonglor will have 303 rooms, located in Sukhumvit and Staybridge Suites Chonburi Siracha will feature 400 keys.
Both will offer complimentary hot breakfast daily and all-day amenities such as a business centre and fitness room.
