The land of the rising sun has quickly become one of the world’s most booming tourism spots. One of the most modern, technologically advanced destinations in the world, Japan boasts an ancient history, with remnants of the shogunate era still intact as well as meaningful World War II sites. With the 2020 Olympics coming up in June, now is the perfect time to go to Japan to explore the archipelago, which the entire world will turn its eyes to this summer. This seven-day tour starts in the metropolis capital Tokyo, at the foot of towering Mt. Fuji. After arriving and resting up after the long-haul flight, the tour starts on day two for a private sightseeing tour aboard Tokyo’s impressive subway lines. With stops at Meiji Shrine, the Samurai Museum and Edo-era Shinkuku Gyoen Garden, the day ends with a visit to the bustling Nakamise Shopping Arcade and Asakusa Kannon Temple, Tokyo’s oldest temple.
