The Tourism Authority of Thailand is hoping to inspire wander lust in Thailand’s singletons.
TAT is hoping singles will swipe right for a travel adventure by teaming up with dating app Tinder.
With the Single Journeys campaign it is promoting a range of trips for single travellers.
“Tourism connects people, and some people might end up being lifetime partners. Tourists can also help support tourism and the economy during tough times,” said Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Deputy Governor for Tourism Products.
The campaign focuses on various itineraries including Lop Buri-Saraburi, Udon Thani-Loei, Chumphon-Surat Thani, Phuket, Pattaya and Ayutthaya.
It includes a river cruise trip visiting holy temples and a secret island party at Koh Khai in Phuket for singles in the New Year.
TAT will promote the campaign throughout December and January via social media and hopes it will help drive up to seven million domestic trips by the end of the first quarter of 2021.
TAT plans to ink partnerships with airlines and tour operators during 2021 for special deals for single travellers which will be available on online travel platform Sneakoutdeal.
