Universal Studios Singapore has rolled out airport-style facial recognition tech for all park guests.
The biometric scanning system allows guests to exit and re-enter using their facial image, although guests with day passes will still need to carry a physical ticket.
It is ‘essential for operational improvement, safety and security,’ in the Covid-19 era said Resorts World Sentosa.
“Facial recognition provides contactless verification of tickets and ticket holders, enabling our customers to enjoy our park experience in a more efficient and seamless manner,” RWS said.
The park reopened last month at reduced hours.
RWS recently announced it was laying off staff due to the Covid-19 and long closure.
As well as the Universal Studios theme park, Resorts World Sentosa encompasses a hotel, casino and other tourist attractions.
