After nearly 18 months waiting, one of the most highly anticipated cruise startups for years has finally departed from a US port. Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady has left PortMiami on its first US cruise – a four-night Caribbean sailing.
The ship was originally scheduled to sail its maiden voyage on April 1, 2020 but global cruising came to a standstill. The ship is currently sailing at 50% capacity. Virgin’s next two ships, Valiant Lady and Resilient Lady are due to launch next year.
