Vistara is the latest Indian carrier to start flying to the Maldives.
The full service airline will launch service from Mumbai to Male from 3 March on Airbus A320neo jets.
It will operate three times a week.
India has still banned normal international flight service but the Maldives is one of two dozen countries India has special travel bubble arrangements with.
India is also a top source market for the Maldives.
The flights will operate on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and Vistara has announced an introductory fare of INR17,699 for economy return.
The Maldives just recoded its best day so far in 2021 for tourist arrivals.
Minister of Tourism Dr Abdulla Mausoom said it welcomed nearly 5,000 tourist arrivals last Friday.
“With nationwide Covid-19 vaccinations in progress, the tourism outlook is very promising,” he tweeted.
The country is targeting a total of 1.5 million arrivals in 2021.
