Take a step back in time and discover captivating Cuba, where the people are as warm and welcoming as the climate. From the cobblestone streets of Old Havana, where musicians gather on almost every corner, to remote Isla de la Juventud (“Island of Youth”), set against white sand beaches on the turquoise Caribbean Sea, be prepared for an amazing, eye-opening experience of this intriguing nation. On this 8-day boat-based adventure, we’ll visit cafés, schools, and a market for rich cultural exchanges with locals, and even enjoy a scenic drive in vintage American cars to Finca Vigia, beloved home of Ernest Hemingway!
Additionally, we are delighted to announce that all January and February 2019 departures are guaranteed—and there’s no single supplement for solo travelers!

Each day was filled with true people-to-people opportunities—visits with artists, musicians, education and medical personnel. There was little ‘down time,’ and I felt like I had 8 days of intensive Cuba experiences. Our program director had a great knowledge of the island and its history. He clearly enjoyed Cuba and its people, but brought an outsider’s eye to interpret what was going on under the surface of this transitional time in Cuba’s history.
