Hospitality group Wyndham is the latest to make a play for the all-inclusive resort market.
It announced a strategic agreement with Playa Hotels and Resorts which will see the launch of new all-inclusive brand, Wyndham Alltra.
It will open the 458-room Wyndham Alltra Cancun and adults-only Wyndham Alltra Playa Del Carmen.
Both resorts are to undergo renovations in time to launch by the end of the year.
“Wyndham Alltra will introduce many of our over 150 million annual guests to our first all-inclusive brand,” said Geoffrey A. Ballotti, president and chief executive officer of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. “Partnering with a leading owner, operator and developer of all-inclusive resorts in prime beachfront locations, will create immediate access for our customers to an all-inclusive guest,” said Geoffrey A. Ballotti, President and CEO of Wyndham Hotels
“There was no better time to launch a new brand like this in the leisure transient market.”
‘Alltra’ means ‘All-Inclusive Travel for All.’
Playa currently operates resorts across the Caribbean and Mexico.
We will be looking for development opportunities with Playa on an exclusive basis in Mexico and other select Latin American countries, but also internationally with our franchise sales and development,” Ballotti added.
